STARKVILLE – For the third consecutive year, Mississippi State goalkeeper Rhylee DeCrane has been named to the SEC Community Service Team.
The redshirt senior led all members of the Bulldog soccer program in service hours in 2018. Since arriving in Starkville in 2014, she has recorded more than 120 hours of community service. An aspiring veterinarian, DeCrane volunteers at the West Point Humane Society along with the Palmer Home for Children.
DeCrane also spends time working with Habitat for Humanity and the Bulldogs' soccer camps. She has volunteered at numerous fun runs in Starkville, including the Sprint for Super Gabe 5K in April and the Dawg Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness in October.
The Myrtle Beach, South Carolina native is an active member of the MSU M-Club where she serves on the executive board. She is also a SAAC representative for the soccer program for the third season.
This year, she has also been a part of MSU's Dance Marathon and the Bulldogs' National Girls and Women in Sports Day youth event.
DeCrane has been named to the SEC Honor Roll four times, the Dean's List twice and the President's List last fall. She holds the MSU single-season shutout record (8) and her current goals against average (0.79) would also be a single-year record.
MSU will close the regular season at home on Thursday night at 7 p.m. CT. The Bulldogs will host LSU while needing a win to have a chance to force their way into the conference tournament the following week.
