STARKVILLE - Week Six of the NFL season has come to a close, and it is time to take a look at how the 18 former Bulldogs who have gone #FromStateToSundays fared.
Linebacker Preston Smith squared off against his former MSU teammate quarterback Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys as Smith led the Redskins to a 20-17 victory. Smith collected a tackle in the start, but his biggest play of the game came in the fourth quarter as his recovered a fumble near the goal line for a scoop-and-score for his first NFL touchdown. The score put the Redskins up 20-10 with 4:55 remaining.
Prescott closed the game with a season-high 273 yards passing and a touchdown off 22 completions. He added a score on the ground with help of 33 yards rushing.
Defensive tackle Kyle Love came up big late in the fourth quarter to secure a 21-17 comeback victory for the Carolina Panthers at Philadelphia. With the Eagles going for it on fourth down with 1:11 remaining, Love recovered his first fumble of the season to seal the win to go along with four tackles. Defensive end Fletcher Cox recorded one tackle for the Eagles in the contest.
