Bulldogs Welcome Harlem Globetrotters To Maroon Madness October 26

STARKVILLE – Exciting basketball action and the sweet sounds of "Sweet Georgia Brown" fill the Hump Oct. 26 as the Harlem Globetrotters come to Mississippi State for Maroon Madness presented by Coca-Cola.
Maroon Madness begins at 7:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m. Admission is free, and the first 500 fans get free Maroon Madness T-shirts.
The clear bag policy and walk-through metal detector screening process will be in place. Prior to the start of Maroon Madness, The Vista will sponsor a 3-on-3 Greek basketball tournament.
Maroon Madness offers fans the opportunity to be introduced to Ben Howland's men's basketball team and Vic Schaefer's reigning SEC Champion women's squad.
In addition to meeting the teams, both squads will compete in entertaining contests for fans.
Fans will also be treated to a performance by the Harlem Globetrotters, who are a "Worldwide icon, synonymous with family entertainment and great basketball skills. Founded in 1926, the Globetrotters have entertained more than 146 million fans in 123 countries around the world.
Mississippi State fans have much to be excited about entering the 2018-19 seasons. The Bulldog men are consensus top 20 in preseason publications.
The women's squad is top 15 in those magazines while also being selected the preseason favorite to win the SEC by league and national media on Tuesday.
