
MSU Up To No. 4 In AP Poll; DawgTalk With Vic Schaefer Set For Tuesday

STARKVILLE, Miss. – After opening SEC play 3-0, Mississippi State has moved up to No. 4 in this week's Associated Press Top 25 Poll.
State made the one-spot jump after defeating Arkansas 111-69 in Thursday's SEC home opener and LSU on the road in Baton Rouge 83-70 on Sunday. The pair of victories put State at 17-0 on the season, one of four undefeated teams in Division I. The Bulldogs and Tennessee are the SEC's only remaining unbeaten squads.

The Bulldogs' 29-consecutive weeks in the Top 10 rates fifth nationally.
Victoria Vivians paced MSU on Thursday with 29 points, while Teaira McCowan led the way against LSU with 31 points and 20 rebounds.
It was her second 30-point, 20-rebound game of the season, tying her for the second-most in a season by a Power 5 conference player in the last 15 years. McCowan is the only SEC player to notch 30 points, 20 rebounds in a game since the turn of the century.
The Bulldogs return to Humphrey Coliseum Thursday, hosting in-state rival Ole Miss at 8 p.m. The contest, which will be televised on the SEC Network, will be StarkVegas Night with fans encouraged to wear black.
