Women's Track and Field Retains No. 18 Ranking Ahead of Trip to Boston

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Despite not competing over the weekend, Mississippi State's women's track and field program held its No. 18 spot in the USTFCCCA rankings this week.
Four Bulldog women currently hold marks inside the Top 30 nationally for their events. Charlotte Cayton-Smith leads the runners and is 20th in the nation in the 800m. In the field events, Brianna Smith is 10th in the weight throw after breaking her own school record earlier this year. Logan Boss is 13th in the high jump, and Tiffany Flynn is 16th in the triple jump.
"This weekend in Boston will give us a chance to improve our times and, hopefully, move up in the rankings as well," head coach Steve Dudley said.
Both the men's and women's programs will travel to Boston, Mass., this weekend for two meets. On Friday, the Bulldogs will compete at the Crimson Elite Meet hosted by Harvard before heading across town to Boston University for the Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invitational on Saturday.
