
Bulldog Seniors Vie For Win No. 111 Sunday At Ole Miss

STARKVILLE, Miss. – 111. It's a number that has been significant for Mississippi State women's basketball the past year.
Last year's senior class claimed school-record win No. 111 in halting UConn's 111-game win streak in the Final Four.
On Sunday, seniors Blair Schaefer, Victoria Vivians and Morgan William go for career victory No. 111 as the second-ranked Bulldogs travel to Oxford to face in-state rival Ole Miss.

The trio, along with fellow senior Roshunda Johnson, helped Mississippi State claim the best start in program history at 21-0 overall and 7-0 in SEC play with a 90-53 home win against Florida on Thursday.
Vivians scored 17 points on her senior night, while Schaefer notched 15 points. Junior Teaira McCowan led the way with 23 points to become the newest addition to State's 1,000-point club.
In addition to tying for the school career wins record, the senior class also seeks an eighth-straight win against Ole Miss after claiming a 76-45 victory in the first meeting in Starkville on Jan. 11.
Vic Schaefer's Bulldogs head to Oxford having won the last eight meetings and 16 of the last 19 contests against the Rebels.
The Rebels return home 11-9 overall and 1-6 in SEC play after suffering a 75-66 setback at No. 10 Tennessee Thursday evening.
