Bulldogs Stay No. 3 In USA Today Coaches Poll

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Mississippi State is No. 3 in both major women's basketball polls as the Bulldogs remained No. 3 in the USA Today Coaches Top 25 Poll for the ninth-straight week.
The Bulldogs held on to the No. 3 spot, their 64th-straight week in the poll, after tallying home wins against Ole Miss and Alabama.
The wins improved Vic Schaefer's squad to 19-0 overall, the second-best start in school history, and 5-0 in SEC play.
The Bulldogs own the highest ranking of the six SEC teams in the poll. Tennessee, MSU's opponent Sunday in Knoxville, fell one spot to No. 7. South Carolina landed at No. 10, while Missouri followed in 12th. Texas A&M and Georgia rounded out the league teams in the poll at Nos. 17 and 24, respectively.
State hosts its next Hail State Hoops Luncheon Thursday at 11:30 a.m. in Mize Pavilion before returning to action on Sunday. Tip against the Lady Vols is set for 2 p.m. CT on ESPN2.
