- On Wednesday, Hunter Renfroe blasted three home runs into the San Diego sky. He became the first player to ever hit three home runs in Petco Park, and tied a Padres rookie record with his 24th bomb in the ninth inning.
- Adam Frazier also had a productive Wednesday night; His four RBIs came from a third-inning triple and a walk-off home run as the Pirates won 6-4.
- Dakota Hudson pitched 3.0 innings of one-run work on Tuesday, giving the Memphis Redbirds a shot at winning the Triple A National Championship. Memphis would fall to Durham later that night.
- Brandon Woodruff earned his second win of the season on Sunday, a 7.0 inning, five strike out quality start in a win against Miami. Woodruff and Kendall Graveman will start again tomorrow, and Chris Stratton is set to start for San Fransisco on Sunday.
- After an incredible first year in pro ball, Brent Rooker was honored at Davis Wade Stadium on Saturday during MSU football's win against LSU. On Friday, Rooker sat down with SEC Network's Paul Finebaum in the Junction to discuss his experience at Mississippi State.
- Jacob Robson is now ranked as the 30th best prospect in the Tigers organization by MLB Pipeline.
- The Yankees recalled reliever Jonathan Holder on Sunday, though he has yet to see action on the mound.
