Schaefer, Storm To Attend SEC Basketball Leadership Council

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Blair Schaefer and Mitchell Storm will be heading to Birmingham, Ala., this weekend to represent Mississippi State at the Southeastern Conference's Men's and Women's Basketball Leadership Council meeting.
The councils consist of one male and one female representative from each of the SEC's 14 member schools. Schaefer will be attending for the second-straight year.
The weekend includes a conversation with Commissioner Greg Sankey and reviews of basketball-related NCAA and SEC items. The event also gives the participants the opportunity to speak with men's and women's basketball officials on the rules of the game and student-athlete/referee interaction.
Schaefer and the rest of the women's representatives will also get to discuss careers in professional sports and preparing for the WNBA with Renee Brown, the league's former Chief of Basketball Operations and Player Relations.
Storm and the other men's participants will hear from former ESPN lead basketball reporter Andy Katz on careers in broadcasting and personal and professional imaging and branding.
