- Just hours after being selected for the New York-Penn League All-Star Game on Tuesday, Ryan Gridley hit a walk-off single that night to lift the Vermont Lake Monsters.
- 2016 first round pick Dakota Hudson was called up to Triple-A Memphis Redbirds and made his debut on June 30 to become one step away from joining the St. Louis Cardinals.
- Brandon Woodruff impressed in his Major League Baseball debut with the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday, allowing no runs and striking out six over 6.1 innings. On Wednesday, Woodruff followed up by allowing just two runs over 5.2 innings.
