Grant Named Srixon/Cleveland Golf GCAA All-American Scholar

NORNAN, OKLA. – Following a stellar year on and off the links, Taylor Grant was named an Srixon/Cleveland All-American Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America on Wednesday.
Grant, a rising senior, was one of 15 SEC golfers named to the 206-player team.
The Abilene, Texas, native competed in 29 rounds last season, claiming a 73.1 stroke-average and four Top 20 finishes.
Grant's prowess was not limited to the links as he helped men's golf accumulate 3.23 Spring GPA, the highest of any male sport at MSU during that semester. Overall, Grant has a 3.63 GPA and is a Business Administration major.
To qualify for All-American scholar, players must compete in 50 percent of the team's rounds and have a stroke-average under 76.0 for Division I. In the classroom, the student-athlete must have a cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2 and be a junior or senior academically.
