Carabello, Bell Named To SEC Golf Community Service Teams

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Mississippi State golfers Blaise Carabello and Ross Bell earned Southeastern Conference honors for their community service on Thursday.
Carabello was tabbed to the SEC Women's Golf Community Service Team, while Bell was tabbed to the men's squad, the league office announced.
Over the past school year, Carabello has participated in numerous service events around Starkville and Mississippi State University. The Houston, Texas, native was involved in National Girls and Women in Sports Day, where she taught Starkville elementary students about the importance of women's sports. She also participated in the Sprint With Super Gabe 5K, a fundraiser for a dear friend and fellow MSU fan, Gabe Valentine.
Carabello, who accumulated over 30 hours of community service during the 2016-17 year, attended the MLK Jr., Unity Breakfast Day of Service with other MSU athletes, and she also participated in United We Feed.
Bell, a redshirt sophomore, was named to the SEC Men's Golf Community Service Team for the third-straight year.
The Madison, Miss., product appeared in nine events and had a 72.0 scoring average. Off the course, Bell joined Carabello in participating in the Sprint with Super Gabe 5K. He was also an active participant in Read Across America and United We Feed.
Bell also served the MSU campus by assisting with the T.K. Martin SUPER Fun Run and Greek Week Food Drive.
