STARKVILLE, Miss. – After starting the outdoor season in style with 12 victories at home in the Bulldog Relays last weekend, Mississippi State track and field continues this week at the North Florida Invite
Just two Bulldogs will be competing in the event hosted by the University of North Florida. The Bulldog men's javelin group of Curtis Thompson and Nicolas Quijera will travel down to the sunshine state looking to improve their craft.
Quijera will compete in the first flight beginning at 9 a.m. Friday, with Thompson following suit in flight two. Last week, Thompson finished second in the event with a mark of 70.86m. Quijera, in his Bulldog debut, took third with a throw of 70.30m.

"This is a good opportunity for our javelin throwers to get more work in," MSU coach Steve Dudley said. "They do not get to compete during the indoor season, so we are glad for them to be able to go enjoy some nice weather and continue their progression as athletes."
