Hosting the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament was an honor and a privilege, and it was truly a first class event from start to finish. There are many people deserving thanks, but I'll start by saying thank you to the NCAA and Mississippi State staffers who put in long hours to create an incredible experience, to each team and their staffs for being such enthusiastic and understanding participants, and finally to the fans who created a wonderful atmosphere all weekend.
As we look ahead to the next round, our ladies are off to the Sweet Sixteen for the second year in a row as they fly to Oklahoma City today. Be sure to follow @HailStateWBK on social media to keep track of the team throughout the week and as they play Washington on Friday at 6 p.m. on ESPN2. Whether in person or through the screen, we'll all be cheering our Bulldogs on.

I again find myself in the position of repeating previous comments, but I want to take a moment again to congratulate our men's and women's tennis teams on the immense success they're having this year. Coach Roberts and our men's team are up to No. 15 in the country this week as they've won an incredible nine-straight matches dating back to February. Our guys are on the road at Arkansas tomorrow night. Then, they return to Starkville for a big match against Ole Miss on Saturday at 3 p.m.
Meanwhile, Coach Greenan and our 25th-ranked women and are coming off a huge win over No. 15 Arkansas over the weekend. Good luck to the ladies in their road matches at Tennessee and Georgia this weekend!

After a week and a half of road games, our Diamond Dawgs are back at The Dude this weekend, hosting Tennessee on Friday at 6:30 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. As we welcome the guys back to town, I hope you will all join us as we celebrate the life of Boo Ferriss on Saturday, weather permitting. Members of Coach's family will be in town as we remember and commemorate a true Bulldog legend.

BULLY PULPIT TALKS SWEET SIXTEEN, DUDY NOBLE BUILD
On this week's episode of The Bully Pulpit, host Matt Wyatt was joined by Coach Schaefer to talk about the season his team has had and about the challenges and opportunities for success that lie ahead. Additionally, I joined Matt to talk about updates concerning the future of our new baseball stadium. You can listen here, and as always, you can subscribe on SoundCloud or iTunes by searching for "Hail State."

We appreciate what you do for Mississippi State Athletics and want to encourage you to get others involved. There are three things you can do to help the athletic department at Mississippi State reach its desired goals –
1. Buy Season Tickets
2. Financially Support the Bulldog Club
3. Get Others To Do The Same
Thanks for taking the time to read this Update. Â
