Eubanks Called Up To U.S. U-23 National Team Camp

STARKVILLE, Miss. – For the third-consecutive season, Mississippi State soccer standout Mallory Eubanks will spend a portion of her spring season with the U.S. Women's National Team after the Bulldog received an invitation to participate in the Under-23 training camp from March 23-April 2.
Eubanks makes up one of four SEC players on the 22-player roster, joining Simone Charley (Vanderbilt), Savannah McCaskill (South Carolina) and Gabrielle Seiler (Florida).
"I'm very excited to once again receive an invitation to a national team camp," Eubanks said. "It's such a great honor to represent our country, while training and competing with some of the best players in the nation."
The Bulldog will travel with the team to Portland, Ore., as the squad takes part in the Thorns Spring Invitational from March 26-April 1. The USA will face three National Women's Soccer League teams, going up against the Houston Dash, Chicago Red Stars and host Portland Thorns.
The first match will take place on Sunday, March 26 at 4:30 p.m. CT against the Dash. Wednesday, March 29 will mark the next outing as the USA faces the Thorns at 9:30 p.m. CT, before concluding the slate of games against the Red Stars on Saturday, April 1 at 7 p.m. CT.
The USA's match against the Thorns will be streamed online at www.thornsfc.com. All matches will be played at Providence Park in Portland, Ore.
"Mallory is an exceptional person and a fantastic soccer player, she exemplifies everything we want a student athlete to be at Mississippi State," head coach Tom Anagnost said. "Mallory is laser focused and ultra committed to everything she does. Representing the United States is the highest honor and she has demonstrated to everyone on this team how hard work pays off. Our family here at MSU will miss her while she is gone, but we are all very happy for her."
Last season, Eubanks started and played in 17 games for MSU while leading the Bulldogs in points, goals and assists.
