Rain Washes Out State’s Saturday Doubleheader

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Scheduled to play a doubleheader against Columbia (0-4) and South Alabama (8-6) on Saturday at Dudy Noble Field, Mississippi State (8-6) was unsuccessful due to inclement weather.

The remaining four games on the weekend will all be regulation nine-inning contests.

The Diamond Dawgs will retake the field on Sunday for a doubleheader against Columbia (11 a.m.) and South Alabama (2 p.m.). The first of four trading card giveaways will also take place on Sunday as the first 1,000 fans will receive a pack of 10 Diamond Dawg trading cards.

As a result of today's rain out, tickets for either Saturday or Sunday can be used for Sunday's games. Admission will be free for Monday's game.
