Bulldogs Travel To Nashville To Face Vanderbilt
February 24, 2017 | Men's Basketball
STARKVILLE, Miss. — It was just a year ago Mississippi State's Quinndary Weatherspoon hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to shock Vanderbilt after trailing by as many as 17 points. On Saturday, the Bulldogs look to recapture that magic when they visit the Commodores at Memorial Gymnasium looking to snap a season-long five-game losing streak.
Tip is set for 3 p.m. CT on ESPNU, with Keith Fitzgerald and Chris Spatola handling the broadcast. The game can also be heard on the MSU radio network with veterans Jim Ellis and Richard Williams on the call.
Mississippi State stands at 14-13 on the season, 5-10 in league play after losing to Ole Miss in overtime on Tuesday, 87-82. I.J. Ready led the Bulldogs with 20 points, while Mario Kegler added 15 to go along with his 8 rebounds.
Vanderbilt enters the Music City contest 15-13, 8-7, after its 67-56 win at Tennessee Wednesday night.

Vanderbilt leads the all-time series, 77-48, 46-9 in Nashville.
