MSU Readies Itself For SEC Indoor Championships

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Ready to roll.
The Mississippi State track and field program begins its first postseason test this weekend as they travel to Nashville for the SEC Indoor Championships hosted by Vanderbilt.
MSU will get a chance to vie for a conference title, competing against the best competition in the country. A total of 15 men's and women's teams from the SEC are ranked by the USTFCCCA, and 17 of the nation's leading individual scorers will be at the event.
The Bulldogs have three athletes with individual marks inside the top 20 nationally, as well as boasting two relays teams also ranked in the top 20.
The event begins at 10 a.m. both Thursday and Friday. Tickets are available for $15 through the Vanderbilt ticket office.
"This is what we have been training for all season," MSU coach Steve Dudley said. "We are ready to get out there and show what we can do this weekend. The SEC is the best conference in the country, and we are ready to compete against this level of competition. I am excited for our team, and look forward to seeing how well they perform."
