NEW ORLEANS, LA. – After inclement weather threatened Tuesday's final round, the Mississippi State women's golf team played 36-holes on Monday to finish the Allstate
Sugarbowl Intercollegiate in 13th place, shooting a 904.
Top-ranked Stanford took the crown with an 863.
The Bulldogs ended their first 18-holes of the day with a 295, led by senior Jessica Peng with a 70.
In the final round, Peng notched a 77 to finish the event one shot outside the Top 25 with a 54-hole total of 222.
Katie Holt started the round off strong with a birdie on her first hole. She went on to finish the final round with a 228.
Freshman Athena Yang shook off a bogey on her opening hole and immediately answered with a birdie before going on to end the day with a 229.
Ji Eun Baik drained three birdies en route to finishing with a 231.
MSU is back in action again for the ?Darius Rucker Intercollegiate in South Carolina, ?March 3-5.
