MSU No. 3 In AP Poll, Hosts #HailStateHoops Luncheon Tuesday

STARKVILLE, Miss. – A big week for Mississippi State women's basketball begins Tuesday as the Bulldogs host their final Hail State Hoops Luncheon of the regular season.
Not only is it the final week of the regular season, but the week sees MSU having the opportunity to claim the single-season wins record and the program's first SEC regular-season championship.
Mississippi State begins the week No. 3 in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll after rallying for a pair of wins against Georgia and No. 23 Texas A&M this week.
MSU earned its 52nd-straight week in the poll, the seventh-longest active streak in the nation.
Fans can celebrate those wins and a tremendous season that has seen MSU record a program second-most 27 wins and go 13-1 in the SEC at Tuesday's Hail State Hoops Luncheon.
The luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. in Mize Pavilion, with doors opening at 11:15.
For $12, fans get a meal and hoops talk with head coach Vic Schaefer and his Bulldog coaching staff and players.
Fans who RSVP by phone (662.325.0198) or e-mail (dbrown@athletics.msstate.edu) will be entered for the chance to win a door prize.
MSU travels to Kentucky, who moved into the poll at No. 22, Thursday at 6 p.m. in a game that will be broadcast online on SEC Network +. The Dawgs wrap the regular season Sunday, taking on Tennessee at 4 p.m. on ESPN2.
Missouri also moved into the poll at No. 24 after upsetting South Carolina, who fell to seventh.
