STARKVILLE, Miss. – A pair of Mississippi State student-athletes will travel to the Southeastern Conference headquarters in Atlanta, Ga., to participate in the 2018 SEC Career Tour from Nov. 28-30. Ross Bell of men's golf and Anastasia Rentouli of women's tennis, will represent the Bulldogs at the second-annual event.
The goal of the career tour is to provide exposure for SEC student-athletes who are seeking career opportunities in various fields.
"I'm very grateful for the opportunity to represent Mississippi State at the SEC Career Tour," Bell said. "I'm looking forward to learning about the corporate world and meeting other SEC athletes. I'm thankful that Mississippi State and the SEC offer the opportunity to learn about careers for when our playing days are over."
"I am so excited to go in Atlanta for the SEC Career Tour as the female athlete representative of our school," Rentouli said. "My development as a student and as an athlete has been my main goal here at Mississippi State, and looking at the big picture, my professional development and my career opportunities are what will help me the most in my long-term development as a Bulldog."
Bell and Rentouli are part of a group of 28 student-athletes from across the SEC at this year's Career Tour. The group will have the opportunity to network and learn from executives and talent acquisition staff from corporations based in the Atlanta area, like CNN/Turner Broadcasting System, Mercedes Benz Corporate, the Atlanta Braves organization and Delta Airlines.
The SEC Career Tour schedule also includes a dinner with SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey, presentations from former SEC student-athletes, an outing at Top Golf and a trip to the Boys & Girls Club of America.
Bell is a junior majoring in accounting from Madison, Miss., and Rentouli is a junior business administration major from Athens, Greece.
