STARKVILLE, Miss. – Throwback Thursday comes to Humphrey Coliseum as the fourth-ranked Mississippi State women's basketball team goes back to the 1970s for a contest against Georgia State.

Tip for the '70s Night contest is set for 7 p.m., and the game will be streamed live online on SEC Network +. The radio call can be heard in the Starkville area on WLZA-FM 96.1 and www.hailstate.com/plus.

Tickets for all MSU women's basketball home games cost $5 for adults and $3 for youth age 18 and under. Children age 12 and under can get free admission to every women's game by joining Bully's Kids Club at www.bullyskidsclub.com.

Mississippi State returns to action for the first time since a season-opening 68-53 win against ACC member Virginia last Friday.

The Bulldogs were paced by Victoria Vivians, who notched a game-high 22 points to go with seven rebounds. Vivians sparked MSU with 16 first-half points, while fellow senior Roshunda Johnson stepped up to knock down 12 of her 18 points in the second half.

Vic Schaefer's squad also got a stellar debut from freshman Chloe Bibby, who added 13 points.

MSU will be Georgia State's second-straight SEC foe to face. The Lady Panthers opened the year with an 82-66 setback at Florida. GSU was paced by 20 points from reigning Sun Belt Freshman of the Year Jada Lewis. Shay Fluker added 15, while Madison Newby tallied 11.

Vivians' 22 points against Virginia was her 33rd-career 20-point game. She also moved into 3rd on MSU's career scoring list with 1,776 points and is 224 points from becoming the 3rd State player to reach 2,000-career points.
Vivians was named to the Ann Meyers Drysdale watch list (nation's top shooting guard), and William was tabbed to the Nancy Lieberman Award watch list for the nation's top point guard. Teaira McCowan was selected to the Lisa Leslie Award Watch List for the nation's top center.
William and Vivians were named to the Wooden Award Top 30 on Tuesday.
Ro Johnson's 4 of 10 from 3-point range moved her atop MSU's career 3-point FG% list (43.4%).

LAST TIME OUT FOR MSU...

Mississippi State raised the 2017 National Finalist banner to the rafters of Humphrey Coliseum, then launched the 2017-18 season Friday against Virginia.
Victoria Vivians paced MSU with 22 points, with 16 of those coming in the first half. Vivians ended the night shooting 8-of-15 (53.3%) from the field while grabbing 7 rebounds.
Ro Johnson tallied 18 points on 6-of-15 shooting, 4-of-10 from 3-point range, and added three steals. Chloe Bibby had a stellar debut for the Dawgs, knocking down 5-of-8 shots for 13 points.
The Bulldogs forced 23 turnovers in the game, scoring 26 points off those UVA miscues.
