Bulldog Tennis Wraps Up Pre-Qualifying Play At ITA All-American Championships

TULSA, Okla. – Pre-qualifying play at the 2017 Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-American Championships came to a close for a pair of Mississippi State men's tennis rookies on Sunday.
Freshman Florian Broska bounced back from a Saturday setback with a 6-4, 6-3 win against Troy's Antonio Selma in the consolation draw.
Bulldog newcomer Hunter Harrison dropped a tough 6-2, 6-4 battle against Stetson's Loic Blanco.
State's Strahinja Rakic, Giovanni Oradini, Trevor Foshey and Niclas Braun open up qualifying singles play at the All-American on Monday. Nuno Borges and Rakic will also compete in qualifying doubles action. All of those players will be looking to advance to the tournament's main draw, which begins Thursday.
The All-American Borges, ranked No. 2 nationally, is already entered in the 64-player singles main draw. Braun and Foshey, No. 7-ranked as a doubles tandem, are also already entered in that 32-team field.
