Former Bulldog Marrissa Harris Named To 2017 Women's Legends Class

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Monday the Southeastern Conference announced the 2017 Women's Legends Class, which showcases former student-athletes, coaches and administrators from all 14 SEC member institutions.
Former MSU track and field standout Marrissa Harris has been selected as the honoree for the Bulldogs. Harris competed at MSU from 2006-09, where she collected All-SEC honors five times. She also won an SEC Championship in 2008 in the heptathlon. During her time in Maroon and White, Harris was named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll three straight years from 2007-09.
The three-time All-American also broke several MSU records during her time, and still stands inside the top five in several statistical categories.
The class will be recognized at the 2017 SEC Women's Basketball Tournament, March 1-5. Harris will be honored during halftime of the No. 4 MSU Women's Basketball team's first game at the tournament.
All 14 individuals will be honored as a group as well, and complimentary posters will be given out during an autograph session during the tournament.
