#FromStateToSundays: Johnthan Banks Latest Bulldog Featured on Billboard This Sunday

STARKVILLE, Miss. – A second round NFL Draft pick in 2013 and Jim Thorpe Award winner in 2012, Johnthan Banks is the latest Bulldog featured on Mississippi State football's #FromStateToSundays digital billboard campaign.
Banks, a native of Maben, Miss., will be featured all day Sunday on a digital billboard two digital billboards on I-275 westbound in Tampa. The Buccaneers will host the Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos at 3:05 p.m. CT live on CBS.
Now in his fourth season in the NFL, Banks has started 37-of-48 career games, totaling 130 tackles and seven interceptions returned for 102 yards and one touchdown.
During his time in Starkville, Banks started 45-of-51 games and recorded 221 tackles and three interceptions returned for touchdowns, tying the school record and second-most in SEC history. In 2012, Banks won the Jim Thorpe Award, given to the top defensive back in college football, making it the first individual national award for an MSU football player in the 113-year history of the program.
Last Sunday, MSU featured NFC Defensive Player of the Month Fetcher Cox in downtown Philadelphia. Cox has been one of the NFL's most disruptive defensive linemen since he entered the league in 2012, recently signing the largest non-quarterback contract in league history.
A total of 11 Bulldogs are currently on active NFL rosters, including eight who started Week 1. Another two are on injured reserve and six others are on practice squads. All 19 of them played for Dan Mullen at State.
