22 Bulldogs Listed on NFL Rosters at the Start of Training Camp

STARKVILLE, Miss. – With the 2016 NFL season rapidly approaching, 22 former Mississippi State student-athletes are currently listed on NFL rosters heading into fall training camp. All 22 Bulldogs currently in the NFL are products of Dan Mullen, playing at least one season for the eighth-year head coach.
Several former Bulldogs had productive off seasons this spring, while seven others are prepping for their first taste of the NFL during their rookie campaigns.
2012 first round draft pick Fletcher Cox became one of the highest paid players in the history of the NFL in June. The 2016 Pro Bowler signed a six-year, $103 million contract with the Philadelphia Eagles, which includes $63 million in guarantees.
After leading all rookies with eight sacks in 2015, Preston Smith is looking to build on his breakthrough first season, while Dillon Day snagged some hardware during his rookie campaign after receiving his championship ring from Super Bowl 50.
Fresh off their Mississippi State careers, Ryan Brown, Taveze Calhoun, Devon Bell, Beniquez Brown, Dak Prescott, Chris Jones, and Will Redmond are all preparing for their first training camp.
