Summer Pro Circuit Round Up

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Three Mississippi State men's tennis Bulldogs competed in ITF Futures events this past month, marking the start of the summer pro circuit season for Rishab Agarwal, Niclas Braun and Strahinja Rakic.

All three of Mississippi State's netters played in main draws, with Braun and Rakic earning their spots through qualifying play.

Rising junior Agarwal turned in two great showings at the Hong Kong F2 and F3 Futures, advancing to the round of 16 in singles of the first and the doubles quarterfinal of the latter. Braun and Rakic stormed through the qualifying rounds of their respective futures events, before falling in the opening round of the main draw in singles play. Braun competed in his home country at the Germany F4 Futures, while Rakic participated in two Macedonia futures.

Players earn ranking points on the professional circuit by winning main draw matches in these events, as an accumulation of points leads to an ATP world ranking.
