Dakota Hudson snagged his sixth All-America distinction on Monday.
Dakota Hudson Named Perfect Game All-American

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Former Diamond Dawg Ace Dakota Hudson picked up his sixth All-America distinction of the season, being named to Perfect Game's Third Team on Monday.
After a breakout 2016 campaign that saw the Bulldogs win their first outright SEC title in 27 years, Hudson was named Second Team All-American by Baseball America, Louisville Slugger and the NCBWA, while being named Third Team all-America by D1 Baseball and the ABCA.
Drafted with the 34th overall pick by the St. Louis Cardinals, Hudson became the 13th MSU player selected in the first round of the MLB draft earlier this month. As the Diamond Dawg's Friday night ace, Hudson tallied a 9-5 record with a 2.55 ERA (5th in SEC) while leading the conference with 113 innings pitched. His 115 strikeouts were also good for fifth in the league.
Hudson tossed three complete games during the 2016 season, including back-to-back complete game shutouts against SEC Competition to close the regular season and cap MSU's conference championship.
