STARKVILLE, Miss. – Mississippi State forward Mallory Eubanks will continue her run with the United States U-19 Women's National Team, as the Bulldog travels with the club to New Zealand on June 8-20 for three friendlies against the country's national team.
U.S. head coach Jitka Kilmkova called up 20 players for the trip that will feature a match against New Zealand's Women's National Team on June 14, followed up by two matches against the New Zealand U-20 WNT on June 17 and June 19.
"I'm really excited," Eubanks said following the announcement. "It's an honor to travel overseas to represent our country and a great opportunity to play and compete in international games."
Eubanks, who just wrapped up her sophomore campaign with MSU, earned her roster spot after impressing the U.S. coaching staff at the U-19 training camp back in March.
New Zealand is preparing for the 2016 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup to be held from Nov. 13-Dec. 3 in Papua New Guinea and was drawn into a challenging Group C with the USA, as well as France and Ghana.
Of the 20 players called up, 11 are in college, with Eubanks being the only player selected to the roster from an SEC school.
Last season, Eubanks played and started in all 18 games for the Bulldogs and led Aaron Gordon's squad with 10 points.
