What a great time to be a Bulldog! It feels like things are in their natural order when Mississippi State is not only playing, but hosting postseason baseball. I should begin by thanking the many of you who came out in such strong support of our guys as we swept the Starkville Regional this weekend. You powered through an early Friday, a hot Saturday and a late, wet Sunday, proving yet again that we have the best fans in the country. To boot, I don't believe there are any who could beat our hospitality, as we received a great number of notes from the three visiting teams and their fans about the overwhelmingly positive experience they had at Dudy Noble. Thank to you everyone who was a part of making it such a great weekend.
Now, we have the chance to top our own act. Coach Cohen's SEC Champion Bulldogs will be hosting Arizona for the Super Regional Friday-Sunday this weekend, with all three games scheduled for 5 p.m. starts. Friday we will play on ESPN2, Saturday our game will be broadcast on ESPNU, and if we play Sunday, it will again be on one of those two networks.
Make sure to visit www.hailstate.com/NCAAbaseball for all information on attending the Starkville Super Regional. Let's pack out The Dude and send our Bulldogs off to Omaha in style!
TRACK AND FIELD COMPETING IN NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS
Our track and field teams have been in the midst of an outstanding year under Coach Steve Dudley this spring, and they'll be capping the impressive season this week at the NCAA Championships in Oregon. In preliminaries, we had Bulldogs qualify for nationals in 14 different events, an extremely impressive feat. I've said this before, but we have an incredibly talented team made up some of the best individual performers in the country (the world, even, with several Bulldogs likely representing MSU in the Olympics in Rio) and we are all proud of their accomplishments this year.
Our No. 12 women's team, represented by SEC Individual Champions Erica Bougard and Marta Freitas among others, will be competing in the 1,500-meter run, 100-meter hurdles, heptathlon, high jump, long jump and 3,000-meter steeplechase. Our No. 16 men's team, including SEC Champion Brandon McBride, will compete in the high jump, 4x400 relay, 800-meter run, 400-meter run and javelin.
Good luck to all representing us in Eugene this weekend.
PRIMESPORT TRAVEL PACKAGES OPEN FOR MSU FOOTBALL
While the immediate travel plans for many of you include coming to Starkville this weekend, I wanted to share some options for those of you considering a trip to Boston or Provo this fall to watch Coach Mullen and our football Bulldogs in road games against UMASS and BYU. With both of these being new and unique game sites for our team, I'd encourage you to join us in supporting the guys. These packages from PrimeSport are an excellent way to get the most out of your trips.

We appreciate what you do for Mississippi State Athletics and want to encourage you to get others involved. There are three things you can do to help the athletic department at Mississippi State reach its desired goals –
1. Buy Season Tickets
2. Financially Support the Bulldog Club
3. Get Others To Do The Same
Thanks for taking the time to read this Update. Â
Hail State!
