
MSU Men's Golf Signs Thailand Standout Pichaikool

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Mississippi State men's golf opened the spring signing period by inking one of the best amateurs in Asia in Tanapat (Peng) Pichaikool from Thailand.
"We are really excited to add Peng to our roster for next spring," Bulldog head coach Clay Homan said. "He has loads of talent and has shown the ability to consistently shoot low scores. On top of that, he is a fantastic student who should be a perfect fit in our program."

Golf Championship, carding scores of 72-72-69-67 to finish second place at 4-under par.
He played among the best amateurs in the world at the World Star Golf Championships in 2015, shooting 68-72-74 at TPC Las Vegas to finish in third place.
Pichaikool was also invited to China to compete in the Zhang Liang Wei Cup International Junior Golf Invitational, which he won by carding rounds of 62 and 64. While representing his high school this season, Pichaikool won four of six tournaments and fired scores of 63, 64, 68 and 69.
In 2014, Pichaikool finished third at the prestigious IMG Junior World in San Diego, California, tallying scores of 67-67-71.
Pichaikool also found success competing against the best professionals in the world, finishing as the low amateur in both the Thailand PGA Championship (74-71) and the Bangkok Open Championship (72-74).
Pichaikool joins early signees Griffin Agent (Madison, Mississippi) and Garrett Johnson (Kimberly, Alabama) in MSU's 2016-17 signing class.
