MSU Awards 34 Varsity Letters In Baseball

STARKVILLE, Miss. --- Mississippi State University has awarded varsity letters to 30 players and four managers for the 2004 baseball season.
Senior co-captains Steve Gendron of Tampa, Fla., and Jeff Lacher of Hattiesburg, Miss., have been awarded their fourth letters while junior Josh Thoms of Newton, Miss., is the lone third-year letter-winner.
The 13 second-year lettermen include Thomas Berkery, Jeff Butts, Brett Cleveland, Brad Corley, Brooks Dunn, Ryan Fesmire, Jamie Gant, Joseph Hunter, Alan Johnson, Brad Jones, Saunders Ramsey, Tyler Scarbrough and Craig Tatum. MSU has also awarded first-year varsity letters to 14 players, including Jon Crosby, Todd Doolittle, Eric Ebers, Ben Grisham, Casey Hamilton, Matt Housel, Josh Johnson, Tyler Jones, Brian LaNinfa, Joseph McCaskill, Jeffrey Rea, Gray Silva, Andy Tackett and Andy Wilson.
Among MSU's student managers, Stan Mills and Will Howarth earned their third letters while Wes Goodson and B.J. Kent were awarded first-year letters.
