May 25, 2016 | Track & Field
The Stillwater, Minn., native earned a 3.72 GPA in industrial engineering so far in his collegiate career. One of the Bulldogs' eight seniors, he led the team in the 1500m outdoors and mile indoors this season.
"Chris was a valuable asset to the team as a runner," said head coach Al Schmidt. "He was also an incredible student and did a lot of community service as an officer in the M-Club since he got here. He's an ideal version of an all-around student-athlete."
Boldt was a provisional qualifier indoors in the mile in 2003 and ended his career ranked second in school history in the indoor mile. He anchored the distance medley team to a school-record time indoors at the Arkansas State Invite of 9:50.53. He also served as vice president of the M-Club during the 2002-03 academic year.
MSU begins the NCAA Mideast Track Regional on Friday in Columbus, Ohio.
