MSU Golfers In Fourth Place At Billy Hitcock Intercollegiate

AUBURN, Ala. -- The Mississippi State men's golf team fired a second-round 291 (+3) to place themselves in fourth place with one round to play on Sunday at the Auburn-hosted Billy Hitchcock Intercollegiate. Auburn is is in first place, 13 strokes ahead of the Bulldogs, but State is just two strokes out of second place.
Joe Deraney is in a tie for third place, individually, after firing an even-par 72. He is just three strokes out of first place, held by Auburn's Kevin Haefner. Codie Mudd is currently tied for sixth place, after shooting a second-round 72. Kevin Maurer is tied for 20th, Tim Satow is tied for 30th, and Craig Horrocks is tied for 55th heading into Sunday's final round.
The competition will conclude with a single round on Sunday.
