Williams Second After 3 Events In Pentathlon

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Mississippi State's senior all-American Elisha Williams is making the most of her last SEC Indoor Championships, ranking second in the pentathlon after three events.
The Milton, Fla., native has 2440 points going into the final two events of the competition, the long jump and 800-meter run. Williams earned all-American honors both indoors and outdoors last year in the long jump.
For the Bulldogs, junior Dan Hunter ranks a disappointing 11th after three events, and freshman LaChristopher Lewis is currently in 17th.
Preliminiaries for most events at the SEC Indoor Track & Field Championships will begin Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark.
