Spaces Remain For Women's Basketball Summer Camps

STARKVILLE, Miss. – With the school year done, Mississippi State women's basketball's 2016 summer camp slate is ready to begin.
The summer slate kicks off June 5-7 with the Skills Camp. The popular day camp follows June 13-16, and this year's sessions conclude with the Team Shoot Out Camp June 17 and 18.

Campers will have the opportunity to learn and develop their skills from Vic Schaefer and his coaching staff, Bulldog players, and other coaches from around the state.
Mississippi State's Skills Camp (June 5-7) is open to grades 5-12 and costs $200 for commuters and $275 for residents. During the three-day camp, players receive personalized instruction from Schaefer and his staff. The camp is a great way to develop an all-around game, with sessions focusing on position work, shooting, fast breaks, team practice and games.
The Day Camp will be held June 13-16 and is open to players in grades 2-7. Running from 8 a.m.-noon each day, the camp is designed to teach fundamental skills to aspiring players through drills and other fun competitions. Cost for the Day Camp is $65.
State's final camp session is the popular Team Shoot Out Camp. Teams can attend June 17 or 18, and cost is $250 per team (12 players and two coaches) and $25 for each additional player or coach. The Shoot Out Camp is a great way for teams to begin preparing for a championship season by having the opportunity to play three games in one day against quality competition.
Players can learn from Mississippi State players and coaches that went 28-8 this season, a school record for victories for the second-straight year.
The Bulldogs won 20-plus games in three-straight seasons for the first time while also matching the school record for SEC wins with an 11-5 mark.
Mississippi State claimed its best league finish with a tie for second before advancing to the championship game of the SEC Tournament.
MSU hosted the NCAA Tournament First and Second Rounds, defeating Chattanooga and No. 16 Michigan State to punch the program's second ticket to the Sweet 16.
The last two seasons, Mississippi State has compiled a 55-15 record that is second-best in the SEC and a 22-10 SEC mark that is third-highest.
