
MSU Hosts Old Waverly Collegiate Championship For Season Finale

STARKVILLE, Miss – Mississippi State men's golf wraps up the regular season on the home turf as it hosts the fourth annual Old Waverly Collegiate Championship Monday and Tuesday.
“We are playing at home, we should play with a lot more confidence since we know the course,” MSU coach Clay Homan said.
The two-day,54-hole event tees off Monday at 8:30 am with 36 holes on the historic par-72 Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Mississippi.
The 16-team field is the most in the tournament's history. In addition to the host Bulldogs, the field also includes Chattanooga, Cincinnati, Georgia State, Kansas State, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana-Lafayette, Lipscomb, McNeese State, Ole Miss, Southeastern Louisiana, Southern Miss, South Alabama, Louisiana-Monroe, UT-Arlington and West Virginia.
A total of eight Bulldogs will participate in this year's event. Ben Follett-Smith, Taylor Grant, Ben Wood, Taylor Bibbs and Ross Bell will make up the team's fivesome while Serverin Soller, Jackson Dick and Johnny Newnham will play as individuals.
Admission is free for both days, and Hail State Rewards members will receive 350 points per day and 200 points for staying at least three hours
MSU is coming off it's third top five finish of the year after placing tied for fifth at the Lone Star Invitational.
