
MSU Back In Top 15, To Be Featured On SEC Inside Wednesday

STARKVILLE, Miss. – A run to the SEC Tournament championship game moved Mississippi State women's basketball back into the Top 15 of both the Associated Press Poll and USA Today Coaches Poll.
The Bulldogs moved up one place to No. 15 in this week's Associated Press ranking, while the USA Today Coaches Poll advanced Vic Schaefer's squad two spots to No. 14.
State earned its 36th-straight week in the AP ranking and a 35th-consecutive week in the coaches poll.
The Bulldogs' run in the Associated Poll is the 10th-longest active streak in the nation.
Mississippi State advanced in both polls after defeating Vanderbilt and Tennessee to reach the program's first SEC Tournament final since 2000.
The Bulldogs wrapped the regular season 26-7 overall and 11-5 in SEC play. MSU matched the most SEC wins in program history while claiming the best league finish in school annals with a second-place showing.
Mississippi State enters its second-straight NCAA Tournament one win from matching last season's school record for overall victories.
In the AP poll, South Carolina stayed at No. 3 while Kentucky landed at No. 12. Texas A&M fell to No. 19, and Florida stayed at No. 25.
Florida also came in at No. 25 in the coaches poll. Texas A&M also followed the Bulldogs at No. 18. Kentucky ranked just ahead of MSU at No. 13, while South Carolina remained at No. 2.
Bulldogs' SEC Tourney Run To Be Featured On SEC Inside Wednesday
Fans can get inside access to Mississippi State's SEC Tournament run Wednesday night as the SEC Network premiers SEC Inside: The SEC Women's Basketball Tournament.
The half-hour program debuts at 6 p.m. CT on the SEC Network, with a re-air set for 10 p.m. CT.
The show goes behind the scenes with the teams in the tournament, giving fans access to the Bulldogs during the preparation for the the contests, on the sideline and postgame in the locker room.
Mississippi State defeated Vanderbilt and Tennessee in the quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively, to earn the program's second SEC Tournament championship game appearance.
