February 18, 2016 | Track & Field
STARKVILLE, Miss. – With the 2016 indoor postseason right around the corner, the Mississippi State men's team heads to Notre Dame to compete in the Alex Wilson Invite Saturday.
Five athletes will be competing for the Maroon and White this weekend.
“Postseason is quickly approaching,” MSU coach Steve Dudley said. “This is an important weekend. We are coming to compete with hopes of continuing these athletes' seasons.”
Representing MSU in the field will be senior high jumper Seth Peace. Earlier this season at the Armory Track Invite, Peace cleared a personal-best 7-00.50 to finish first. His height is currently the 26th best clearance in the nation.
On the track for the Bulldogs will be the men's 4x400m relay team. Running the event this weekend will be Alfred Larry, Brandon McBride, Rasheed Tatham and Juston Waters. This will be the first time this foursome has run together this season. Larry and McBride were both members of the 4x400m relay team that finished third at the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Peace will appear in the high jump at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday, while the 4x400m relay will take the track at 3:15 p.m. at the Loftus Sports Center.
The women's track and field team will return to action Feb. 26-27 for the SEC Indoor Championships in Fayetteville.
