Women's Hoops No. 5 In AP Top 25 For Fourth-Straight Week

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Mississippi State enters the final week of non-conference play No. 5 in the nation according to Monday's Associated Press Top 25 Poll.
Vic Schaefer's squad maintained the highest ranking in program history for a fourth-straight week. State also recorded its 44th-consecutive week in the poll, the eighth-longest active streak in the nation.
The Bulldogs stayed in the Top 5 after defeating Alabama State 90-47 last Tuesday to improve to 13-0. With 13-straight victories to begin the year, MSU is the SEC's undefeated team and one of only eight in the nation.
State wraps 2016 against Northwestern State Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Humphrey Coliseum. The contest will be Dollar Night, with tickets and a limited number of hot dogs costing $1.
Wednesday's game will be broadcast online on the SEC Network + and on the radio on WKBB-FM 100.9.
