Diamond Dawgs To Make 11 National Television Appearances In 2017

STARKVILLE, Miss. – With expectations high following a 2016 Southeastern Conference regular season championship, Mississippi State will have 11 of its games televised in 2017, the SEC office announced Wednesday.
Year one under first year head coach Andy Cannizaro will be well-documented as MSU ranks second among SEC programs for most scheduled television appearances for the upcoming season with 11. Seven of those will air on SEC Network, while the remaining four will be ESPNU broadcasts.
Out of MSU's 10 SEC series this season, eight will include at least one televised contest, with two of those to have multiple games televised (Auburn and Texas A&M). The annual Governor's Cup game in Pearl, Miss. between the Diamond Dawgs and in-state rival Ole Miss will air on SEC Network at 7 p.m. CT on Tuesday, April 25.
The 2017 schedule will also feature a four-hour Bases Loaded special on the opening night of conference play, Friday, March 17. MSU's game at Arkansas that night will also be available in its entirety, streaming live via SEC Network +. Additional games available exclusively for streaming on SEC Network + via WatchESPN and the ESPN app will be announced at a later time.
This year's schedule also includes five wildcard selections, allowing the network the opportunity to determine the best television matchup at a later date. The schedule closes out with SEC Network airing the entirety of the SEC Baseball Tournament, outside of the Championship game on ESPN2.
General admission season tickets are now on sale and can be purchased at HailState.com/tickets. Fans can also purchase a $20 Super Saturday ticket which will include a ticket to MSU's Feb. 18 game vs. Western Illinois during Opening Weekend and a ticket to the 1 p.m. men's basketball game vs. Florida earlier in the day.
