Women’s Hoops Lands Arkansas Standout Bre’Amber Scott

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Mississippi State women's basketball landed another talented player, this time from the state of Arkansas, as Bre'Amber Scott signed with the Bulldogs Tuesday.
The 5-foot-11 guard from Central High School in Little Rock joins Mississippi talents Myah Taylor and Nyah Tate and Florida native Jonika Garvin in a Bulldog signing class that is ranked 19th by All-Star Girls Report.
"Mississippi State is the right place for me to better myself as a person and as a basketball player," Scott said. "I believe they have the right coaching staff to get me to the next level.
"I chose Mississippi State because of the family atmosphere, and the coaches are always honest with you. I feel like I'm at home, and I feel like I will be able to bring determination, heart and passion to the team next year."
Scott brings a solid offensive game to go with lockdown defensive skills that Bulldog head coach Vic Schaefer compared to senior Dominique Dillingham.
"Bre'Amber really caught our eye this summer, much like Dominique did. She's a tough, hard-nosed, aggressive basketball player. She plays the game the way it's supposed to be played. She gets on the floor after loose balls and plays with tremendous energy. She's probably a little farther along with her offensive game than Dominique was coming out of high school, but I'm excited because I think she has the chance to bring the same style that Dominique has brought to our program."
Scott was named the No. 2 player in the state last season after helping Central to a 26-3 record and a trip to the state 7A semifinals.
She enters her senior season the third-ranked player in the state as her team begins the season No. 2 in Class 7A.
It was the second-straight season she helped Central to the state semifinals, as the Tigers also ended the 2014-15 season one win from playing for the state title.
