USTA Pensacola Futures Draws

PENSACOLA, Fla. – After earning their third wins in singles play on Sunday, Mississippi State men's tennis sophomore Nuno Borges and Strahinja Rakic moved on to Monday's final round in the singles qualifying draw of the Pensacola Futures.

Fourth-seeded Nuno Borges continued his run by posting another straight-set win, this time coming against Jakub Wojcik, 7-6(2), 6-4. Borges takes on Mac Kiger on Monday, with the winner advancing into the main draw on Tuesday.

Rakic defeated his second ATP ranked opponent at the Pensacola Futures, after downing 11th-seeded and 1647 ATP ranked Alex Knaff of Florida State, 6-3, 6-4. The Bulldog will face sixth-seeded Barroso Campos for a berth into Tuesday's main draw.
