STARKVILLE, Miss. – Mississippi State men's and women's basketball heads to "Music City" as #SECTipoff17 converges on Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., on Wednesday and Thursday.
The men head to Basketball Media Days on Wednesday, with second-year coach Ben Howland being joined by senior I.J. Ready and sophomore Quinndary Weatherspoon, an SEC All-Freshman Team selection a year ago.
Women's hoops takes the stage the following day as a pair of All-SEC performers, senior Dominique Dillingham and junior Victoria Vivians, join MSU fifth-year coach Vic Schaefer in Nashville.
During the two days the six will do sit-down interviews with the ESPN/SEC Network talent and also meet with local, regional and national media.
Howland returns three players that saw action last season and brings in the nation's No. 4 recruiting class, the highest in school history.
Schaefer returns all five starters and nine letterwinners from last year's edition that won a school-record 28 games, tied for second in the SEC with an 11-5 mark and advanced to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen. This year's squad was picked to finish second in the SEC by media on Tuesday and ranked in the top 10 of various preseason publications.
