Terre Haute, Ind. – In a loaded meet that featured 68 total teams with eight ranked inside the USTFCCCA's Top 30, the MSU women took ninth place to earn a Top 10 finish in the Pre-National Meet's 6K event for the second-consecutive season.

MSU was paced by senior All-American Rhianwedd Price, who placed 31^st overall with a time of 20:47.0. Just behind Price was sophomore Shannon Fair in 59^th place, running a time of 21:06.1. Senior Ffion Price rounded out the Bulldogs inside the Top 100, finishing 66^th with a time of 21:07.8. A total of seven Bulldogs competed in the first race Saturday morning, earning 362 points.

Seven of the eight teams to finish higher than MSU were nationally ranked, while the Bulldogs placed nine spots better than No. 22 Virginia.

In the second race of the day, three other Bulldogs experienced the LaVerne Gibson Cross Country Course for the first time. Freshman Emma Tucker paced the Bulldogs in the Open race, finishing 28^th with a time of 22:58.6. Competing in the open-round of the Pre-Nationals for the second-straight year, sophomore Kristy Terp placed 41^st with a time of 23:19.9. Freshman Alex Wallace capped the Bulldogs in the second race, finishing 75^th with a time of 24:15.0.

"This was a really great showing today," MSU coach Houston Franks said. "Getting a Top 10 finish for the second-straight year here is huge, especially with this many ranked teams competing. Last year we placed fifth, and the momentum from that performance helped propel us to Nationals. Hopefully we can use this heading into the SEC Championships in a few weeks."
