STARKVILLE, Miss. - Week five of the NFL season has come to a close, and it is time to take a look at how the 19 former Bulldogs who have gone #FromStateToSundays fared.
Dak Prescott still has yet to throw an interception in the NFL. The Cowboys quarterback was responsible for two of Dallas' touchdowns on Sunday, one through the air and the other on the ground, in the 28-14 win against Cincinnati. Prescott has completed 107 of 155 passes (69 percent) for 1,239 yards as a rookie, leading the Cowboys to a 4-1 record through five weeks.
Darius Slay played a huge role in securing a win for the Detroit Lions on Sunday, forcing two late fourth quarter turnovers in the 24-23 win against the Eagles. Slay forced a fumble to set up the go-ahead field goal, then intercepted a pass with 1:20 left to seal the victory.
Slay was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week on Wednesday, October 12, following his Week 5 performance. He becomes the second former Bulldog to win a defensive honor this season as Fletcher Cox won the NFC Defensive Player of the Month award for September.
