Friday's game will feature preseason All-American right-hander Dakota Hudson squaring off against righty Austin Sexton, who led MSU in strikeouts (61) and innings pitched (76 1/3) last spring.
Saturday will feature two more pitchers who found success in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League this past summer, as junior southpaws Daniel Brown and Vance Tatum go one-on-one.
Sunday's scrimmage will showcase two talented first-year players when lefty Ethan Small battles right-hander Noah Hughes.
On Thursday morning, the Diamond Dawgs were ranked No. 17 in the annual USA Today Sports coaches' preseason poll. Head coach John Cohen's ballclub has been ranked in the top 20 of every national preseason poll thus far. The final national preseason poll will be released Monday by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
