Birmingham, Ala. – After a day full of rain and stormy weather, the Mississippi State women's golf team finds itself one stroke out of the Top 10 of the SEC Championships.
Under harsh playing conditions at Greystone Country Club, the Bulldogs completed Friday's first round with a scorecard of 308 and a 13th-place finish.

Leading the way for MSU was senior All-American Ally McDonald, who fired a 2-over-74. The Fulton, Miss., native fired even par on her first three holes, along with shooing one under on holes 11-15.
Following McDonald was sophomore Ji Eun Baik. Shooting even par on the front nine holes, Baik cared a 76 on the day, completing the round tied for 30th.
Senior Rica Tse started the day strong as she shot only one over on the front nine. Tying with Tse was teammate Jessica Peng. The two shot 7-over for the day to stand tied for 46th.
