#HailState Hoops To Hold Maroon-White Scrimmage Thursday

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Fans can get their first look at the preseason No. 6 Mississippi State women's basketball team as it holds its Maroon-White Scrimmage on Thursday.
The scrimmage begins at 6 p.m., with Humphrey Coliseum doors opening at 5:30. Admission is free.
It is the first opportunity to catch the Bulldogs, under the direction of 2015 SEC Coach of the Year Vic Schaefer, in action.
Mississippi State will split into two squads to battle each other before combining to take on the guys' practice squad.
The women's game will be played over four 10-minute quarters this season, and Thursday's scrimmage will also follow the quarter format.
After finishing last season with school records for wins (27-7 overall and 11-5 SEC), the Bulldogs enter 2015-16 ranked No. 6 in the nation by Athlon and No. 8 by Lindy's. Last week media members predicted MSU to finish third in the SEC.
MSU returns four starters and 10 letterwinners from last year's team. Schaefer has three of his top four scorers back with preseason first team All-SEC selection Victoria Vivians (14.9 ppg), Morgan William (9.1 ppg) and Breanna Richardson (8.4 ppg).
Mississippi State hosts Mississippi College in a Nov. 10 exhibition before officially beginning the season with a 5:15 p.m. tip at Humphrey Coliseum against Samford on Nov. 13.
