White Advances To Third Round Of Prequalifying At All-Americans

After a first-round bye, White faced a second round matchup against Patrick
O'Keefe from Radford. In an easy two-setter, White took down the Radford
opponent 6-3, 6-0
to advance to the third round of action. White will face
Hunter Nichols of San Diego State at 9:30 a.m. CT Sunday morning. He must win
two more prequalifying matches to advance to qualifying-round play, which starts
Monday.
MSU's 73rd-ranked James Chaudry will begin play in the qualifying rounds Monday to fight for a spot in the main draw, which begins Thursday, Oct. 6.
Three other Bulldogs are already entered into the main draw based on their current national rankings including #27 George Coupland, 36th-ranked Louis Cant and 46th-ranked Malte Stropp. Cant and Stropp, ranked seventh nationally in doubles, are also in the 32-player doubles main draw. Coupland and White will play in qualifying doubles.
